Samosas

Hey everyone, it’s me, Connelly, welcome to my recipe website. Today, I’m gonna show you how to prepare a distinctive dish, samosas. It is one of my favorites food recipes. This time, I will make it a bit tasty. This will be really delicious.

Samosas is one of the most popular of recent trending meals on earth. It’s easy, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions every day. They’re nice and they look fantastic. Samosas is something that I’ve loved my entire life.

These stuffed savory pastries are a traditional Indian favorite. Lamb meat and spices are cooked together to create a mouthwatering filling for the easy to make dough. The recipe may seem complex, but it's actually fairly simple.

To begin with this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook samosas using 7 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Samosas:
  1. Get 1/2 kg ground beef
  2. Get Samosa pockets
  3. Get 1 onion finely chopped
  4. Make ready 2 cloves crushed
  5. Get 1 inch fresh ginger
  6. Take 1 fresh chilli powder
  7. Prepare 1 bunch freshly cut corriander

The samosas taste better for me when the dough is thin, and there is a lot of filling. PS - Only one thing I had problems with. From the recipe, it sounds like you're supposed to smash the peas with the potatoes, but I didn't smash the peas. I think it tastes better this way..

Steps to make Samosas:
  1. On a medium heat, cook meat in uncovered frying pan or wok. Stir constantly to ensure all lumps are broken. Before the water completely evaporates, onions, ginger, garlic, chili and spices. Season with salt and pepper
  2. Remove from heat and stir in fresh coriander and the lemon juice
  3. In a small mixing bowl, mix ½ a cup of flour with a little water and make a thick flour paste to serve as a “glue” for sealing samosa pockets
  4. Fold all samosa pockets first in a cone shape before filling them with the cooled meat. Use a small ice cream scoop or a tablespoon to fill the samosa pockets (Do not overfill them)
  5. Seal using the “glue” you prepared (Seal them very well otherwise they’ll open up when frying!)
  6. Heat up oil in a deep frying pan
  7. Deep fry samosa till golden brown on both sides and crispy, use a kitchen paper or a clean towel to drain off any excess oil
  8. Serve hot or cold.

Place the samosas on a tray until ready to fry. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling. Fry several samosas at a time, being. Place the samosas on a greased tray making sure they don't touch each either and cover them with a damp cloth. To test if the oil is hot enough, add a tiny piece of dough to the oil and if it bubbles and floats on the surface, your oil is ready for frying.
