- Firstly soak the urad dal with enough water for 3 to 4 hours
- After that drain the water finely and add urad dal to mixer grinder. Add salt and green chillies and ginger.
- Grind it well and keep this batter into the refrigerator overnight.
- Next day, take the batter and add baking soda and 1 spoon of oil in that. Mix it well
- Medu vada batter is ready now fry it with machine or with your hands.
- Fry till it turns to golden brown and it's ready
- Now comes to chutney part for that you need freshly grated coconut 1/2 cup.
- Take the mixer jaar and add grated coconut, green chillies, salt to taste, add some water and mix it well in grinder. Take it into the bowl
- Now give tadka of mustard seeds and curry leaves. Heat some oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add into the chutney bowl. It's ready now.
- Serve medu vada and chutney with tea.
