- Get 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- Prepare 2 tbsp Lemon juice/vinegar
Instructions to make Prawn Cauliflower cutlet:
- Roughly grind the cauliflower and boil it for approx 8-10 mins.
- Boil the potatoes and mash them. Make sure no water is there it has to be dry. Boil the potatoes with the skin.
- Lightly roast the spices in a dry warm pan and grind coarsely.
- Now Mix the boiled cauliflower and mashed potatoes along with the spice mix.
- Add the chopped coriander leaves, salt pepper and sugar according to taste in the mixture.
- After the mixture is completely done add 1 tbsp of bread crumbs to make it dry and firm. Keep in the refrigerator.
- Clean the prawn thoroughly by removing the heads but make sure to keep the tails. Now slit a small cut (like shown in the pic) in the back portion of the prawn so that it flattens. (Do not cut through)
- Now marinate the prawns with the mentioned ingredients for 30 mins.
- Now for the turn of making the cutlets. Take two eggs and add cornflour (1tbsp), salt (tastewise) and beat thoroughly. Take breadcrumbs in a flattened and big place. Take the mixture out of the refrigerator.
- Take a handful of potato mixture and flatten it in the palm. Then take a prawn and keep it in between the mixture then cover the entire prawn within the mixture, make sure to keep the tail out of the covering. Give proper shape. Make the rest cutlets like this.
- If the prawn is slippery and hard to keep in place then you can cover the prawns in a small amount of cornflour and carry on.
- Take each of the cutlets and dip it in the already made egg batter and cover evenly with bread crumbs. Then fry the made cutlets in white oil in low to medium heat for 7-8 mins as the prawns need to be cooked.
